3.3.6.1 CVMFS overview
The CernVM File System provides a scalable,It was developed to assist High Energy Physics (HEP) collaborations to deploy software on the worldwide-distributed computing infrastructureCernVM-FS is implemented as a POSIX read-only file system in user space (a FUSE module). Files and directories are hosted on standard web servers and mountedIn the universal namespace/CVMFS. The software can be read by user jobs to ensure the normal operation of cluster jobs.
3.3.6.2 CVMFS software warehouse overview
CVMFS system currently has 6 software volumes, providing software environment for different experiments. Detailed volume information is shown in Table 1:
